Miss Dunlop plans to hang out the flag today at the recently purchased Cole Farm.
The house, located near 140 Blackstone Blvd., dates back to 1731.
It is historically significant as George Washington is known to have visited the deputy governor of Rhode Island, Darius Sessions, at this location.
Sessions married into the Cole family.
