We explored the history of Providence during the day, and then came back to part if that history every night. All of the touches around the house - the wall hangings, maps, needlepoint, etc- added to the historic aesthetic and gave us the opportunity to reflect on the privilege of staying in such a location Your hospitality and kindness throughout our stay brought warmth & joy to our visit!     One morning, one of our Rhode Island Reds vanished.

    Our guests joined the mystery.

    Had she escaped? Wandered off? Started a new life?

    Two days later… she was found happily tucked behind a tree.

    The culprit?
    🥚 Fifteen hidden eggs, and a very broody hen 🐔

    Moments like these are often the memories that our guests take home.

    Date: August 3, 2026 The Missing Hen Each morning Ronnie brought fresh eggs our way, a perfect start to every day. But one little chicken disappeared from view, "She must have escaped!"—that's what we knew. For two long days we looked around, until behind a tree she finally was found. She wasn't lost or on the run, she'd found herself a nesting spot in the sun. Not one, not five, not ten to be seen—she was proudly guarding fifteen! Turns out she wasn't causing a fuss... she was just hiding eggs from the rest of us! Thanks, Ronnie, for another wonderful stay. We can't wait to come back!
