    It’s hard to imagine today, but for generations Cole Farm was a thriving working farm within the city limits of Providence, Rhode Island.

    Built in 1731, Cole Farm grew into more than 100 acres of farmland, producing dairy, raising champion horses, operating a stone quarry, and serving the community for nearly two centuries.

    Today, this remarkable property has entered its newest chapter—welcoming guests from around the world while preserving the history that makes it so special.

    As the United States celebrates its 250th birthday, Cole Farmhouse has a little friendly bragging right…Built in 1731, we’re actually 45 years older than the country. 😄Our walls have been standing since colonial times, witnessed centuries of history, and even welcomed George Washington during his 1790 visit to Rhode Island.Nearly 300 years later, we’re still doing what we’ve always done—welcoming guests from around the world (with much better Wi-Fi than we had in the 1700s 😉). Wishing everyone a safe, joyful Fourth of July filled with family, fireworks, and unforgettable memories. ❤️🤍💙
