Stroll & hike around Cole farm

Four beautiful trails within a walking distance

Blackstone Boulevard Walking Path

The renowned Blackstone Boulevard is five-minutes walking distance from Cole Farmhouse. The Boulevard is one of the landmarks of Providence and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful park features many large, mature trees, and numerous bushes and smaller plants. Benches line the wide central path, and there is one substantial structure, a rustic stone shelter built over 100 years ago as a trolley stop.

Butler Trail (1.8 miles loop)

Butler campus is beautiful and is a short 10 minutes walk from Cole Farmhouse.

Swan Point (3 miles loop)

Swan point is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit. A walk through Swan Point evokes memories of the past and provides a history of some of Rhode Island’s most prominent citizens, including H.P. Lovecraft

And finally my personal favorite…

Blackstone Park Loop (3.5-mile loop)

Experience this amazing 1.8-mile loop trail only one mile from Cole Farmhouse. Blackstone Park Conservation District is a 45-acre natural woodland.  It contains two ponds, York Pond and Hockey
Pond, and some open meadow. This park serves as a green buffer between city streets and the Seekonk River, reducing the amount of runoff that enters the river.
